Kit replacement

Upon customer request, we may ship a replacement for a kit purchased by a customer due to non-usability, damage, or defect in the kit being replaced, provided that you have not submitted your sample using the kit subject to replacement and provided that the kit is not expired. The test involves collecting and sending us a small sample of your stool, and filling in the BIO & ME Lifestyle Questionnaire.

Absolutely! Those under 18 will require a parent or guardian to manage their account.

Kit replacement

BIO & ME may ship a replacement kit if there is damage, or defect in the kit being replaced, provided that you have not submitted your sample and that the kit has not expired. Please give us a call at +65 6977 7199, or drop us an email at care@bioandme.asia to kickstart the replacement process.

The stabilising reagent in your BIO & ME collection tube has a shelf life of at least six months (printed on the collection tube). As long as your sample reaches the AMILI lab before the expiration date, you’re good to go!

However we do encourage customers to return their samples to us as soon as possible.

Absolutely! Just click on ‘Buy Now’ to start the purchase process, and enter your friend’s name and mailing address at checkout to make sure it reaches them. Once your friend receives their kit, they will need to create their own account with us to activate and use the kit.

You should collect your sample at a time that is most representative of your normal dietary and lifestyle habits. Events like travel, pregnancy, and even taking medication can cause changes in your microbiome. We recommend following your typical diet and lifestyle for two weeks before collecting your sample.

Antibiotics cause drastic changes in your microbiome. We ask that you wait for 2 to 3 weeks after you’ve completed your course before collecting your sample. This will ensure that your sample accurately reflects your typical microbiome.

Yes! If the vitamins and supplements are part of your typical daily routine, please continue taking them.

There are a padded envelope, Ziploc bag, and absorbent pad included in your BIO & ME kit. After you have collected your sample, place the tube and absorbent pad in the Ziploc bag, and put the Ziploc bag in the padded envelope. Then, just pop the envelope in the closest mailbox and you’re good to go! We’ll send you an update when we’ve received your sample at our AMILI lab.

You should expect to receive your results within 15 business days of our lab receiving your sample.

Once your results are ready, we’ll send you an email. Simply log in to your account on bioandme.asia to see your detailed, personalised results! They will be displayed on a unique interactive dashboard that you can access anywhere.

Anyone above the age of 21 can take these probiotics. We recommend taking one pill a day after meals. However, if you have a weakened immune system, please check with your healthcare provider before taking any probiotics.

We advise against mixing probiotics. You should take BIO & ME probiotics after you complete your current course.

The safety of probiotics in healthy pregnant and lactating women has been measured in numerous scientific studies and no severe side effects have been documented to date. However, it is advisable to seek your healthcare practitioner's advice should you be concerned.

It is typical to experience some symptoms when taking probiotics. This means that the probiotics are working on colonising the gut. Minor symptoms such as flatulence or bloating is expected and should dissipate within a week. If symptoms persist for longer, do stop the probiotics and assess with your healthcare practitioner.

Noticeable effects vary amongst individuals. Typically those who follow their recommended diets and lifestyle changes see results faster. Some see changes as early as 1 week while others take a little bit more time.

We suggest taking one capsule daily before meals.

In healthy individuals, no known adverse effects have been associated with "over-dosing", however common minor side effects such as bloatedness, flatulence and diarrhoea may result. These symptoms are usually transient lasting 5 - 7 days on average. While no severe side effects have been reported to date on "overdosing", you should exercise care to take the dosage that has been optimized for you.
